Awakening Is Not an Escape from Life

On the path of awakening, it can sometimes be tempting to use spirituality as a way to escape the human experience. We want to awaken, heal our system, discover who we truly are, and ultimately realize our True Nature. But awakening is not about leaving human life behind. In many ways, it is about learning to live it more fully.

We can have both. We can move deeply through the awakening process while also having an enjoyable, meaningful human life experience. It does not have to be one or the other.

There may be periods on the spiritual path when we naturally withdraw from life. We may meditate more, spend time alone, lose interest in things that once seemed important, or feel less connected to what is happening in the world. This can be completely natural.

Sometimes we need these retreat-like periods so that something deeper can open, heal, or transform within us. But eventually, life calls us back.

We move back into relationships, work, creativity, family, experiences, and everyday human life so that what has changed within us can become integrated. Then perhaps another period of withdrawal comes, followed again by another movement into life. There can be a natural rhythm between going inward and coming outward.

Eventually, as our True Nature becomes more present, the direction changes. Instead of awakening being about moving away from the human experience, it becomes about bringing what we have realized directly into it.

Human life becomes important again—but we experience it differently.

This has always been very important to me personally. I wanted to awaken, but I also wanted to enjoy being human. And I want you to know that you are allowed to have an enjoyable human experience here and now.

So often we carry limitations within our system that tell us otherwise. We believe we cannot truly be ourselves, cannot experience abundance, cannot live freely, cannot express our creativity, or cannot have the life that deeply resonates with us.

But many of these limitations are simply energies, conditioning, and patterns that have accumulated within the system. As they begin to clear, there is more space to simply be who we are.

We begin to recognize how much life is already giving us in this present moment.

We often say that abundance is our birthright. From this perspective, abundance is not something that suddenly appears from somewhere outside of us. It is already available. When we cannot experience it, there may simply be energies within us that are preventing us from recognizing or receiving what is already there.

The same applies to our gifts, our creativity, our abilities, our spirituality, and our humanness. We are here to live these things. We are here to express them.

For me, the spiritual path is therefore both: healing and clearing the system so that we can move toward realizing our True Nature, while at the same time becoming more authentic and more fully alive as human beings.

As limitations fall away, our vibration also changes, and this begins to change our life experience.

This does not mean that difficult emotions or lower-vibrational energies will never surface. Healing can bring many things to the surface, even when our overall vibration is very high. Something surfacing to be cleared is different from continuously living from that vibration.

As our core vibration changes, something fascinating can happen in our interactions with others.

A person may have both a very loving, open side and a more contracted or lower-vibrational side. Depending upon our own core vibration, we may meet completely different aspects of that same person.

When our vibration changes, the world we experience can begin to change with it.

And when I speak about vibration, I am not simply talking about feeling happy, joyful, or loving. Feelings are part of the human system. Vibration goes deeper. It is the actual energetic information being held throughout the system—even, as I experience it, within every cell of the body.

Over time, this changes how we experience reality.

During one meditation, I was shown something like a large bubble of consciousness around every person. It was a way for me to understand that everything we experience happens within our own field of consciousness.

Each of us comes into this life with a unique level of consciousness, vibration, karma, learning, and experience. Because of this, no two people experience reality in exactly the same way.

We may participate in a collective reality, but our personal experience within that collective can be completely different. This means that even while certain things are happening in the world around us, it is possible to experience something very different within our own consciousness.

We can experience heaven on Earth while someone standing beside us may be experiencing something entirely different. This is why I feel it is so important not to continually postpone life.

We often think, Maybe in two years. Maybe in a few months. Maybe when this changes. Maybe when I finally awaken enough. But our life is happening today.

The invitation is to discover how this day can become one of the best days of our lives—not because everything externally is perfect, but because we are becoming available to what is actually here.

There is so much conditioning within us that tells us we must first achieve something before we are allowed to live fully. We must work harder. Earn more money. Live somewhere else. Become someone else. Be accepted by certain people. Reach some future spiritual state.

These energies can prevent us from living authentically.

As we clear the conditioning and the stuck energies, an open space begins to appear.

From that space, we can respond freshly to life instead of automatically repeating the past.

Every present moment is new.

And perhaps one of the deepest permissions we can give ourselves is simply this:

You are allowed to be your authentic self.

You are allowed to enjoy your human life.

You are allowed to awaken and still fully participate in this world.

You do not have to escape life to discover who you truly are.

The deeper invitation of awakening may actually be the opposite—to become so free, so open, and so present that you can finally enter life completely.

Love, Eva❤️
