Embodying the Light: The Simple Practice of Opening and Letting Go

The energies are coming in very strongly today, and what I feel most is their desire to move deeply into the body. There are always many levels available to us, but today the invitation is especially physical: to allow the light not only into our consciousness, but into the body itself. This is how we begin to embody the light, becoming lighter and more open on every level of our being.

When we meditate, it can be quite natural to move into a deeper layer of consciousness. But for the light to enter the body fully, we need to support the body by noticing whether it is relaxed or contracted. Most of us carry contraction without even realizing it. It has become such a normal human state that we often do not recognize how much we are holding.

You can explore this right now. Close your eyes for a moment and bring your attention into the body. Gently notice any places that feel tight, guarded, heavy, or closed. You do not need to analyze why the contraction is there. Simply place your attention on that area and allow it to open. You may silently say, “Open,” or imagine a ray of light entering the space.

Often, you will feel the body soften and the light move in immediately, filling what was previously closed. This is one of the beautiful things about working with energy: intention is enough. The mind often believes transformation must be complicated, that there is a hidden secret we have to discover or a special technique we must master. But it can be very simple. Whatever image or tool helps you connect with the energy can work. What matters is your openness and intention.

As the body relaxes, the flow becomes stronger. You may feel more vibration, spaciousness, warmth, or bliss. The body enjoys the light. It enjoys being open. You can also become aware of where the light naturally enters your system. For many people, it may be through the crown or the third eye, but every system is a little different. Notice where you feel the strongest opening. When you place your attention there, the flow can deepen and the whole system can fill with light more easily.

The more you relax, the more light can flow in. It really is that simple.

This does not need to remain something you experience only during meditation. You can practice it throughout the day: while driving, working, sitting, or walking. Pause and ask yourself, “Is my system contracted right now?” Most of the time, you may discover that some part of you is holding. Bring your attention there and open it. This small practice is deeply healing. It is a key to greater openness, expansion, and the remembrance of your True Nature.

When we bring more light into the body, something else begins to happen: a natural detachment from the things that bind us to this reality. Detachment does not mean rejecting life, withdrawing from the world, or no longer loving the people around us. It means being fully here without needing anything outside of us to complete us. We can love our family, our partner, our work, our home, and the Earth itself, but without holding on to them as if our being depends upon them.

We often attach ourselves to people, places, desires, identities, possessions, and even emotions. These attachments can quietly keep our energy bound. True freedom comes when we can experience everything, appreciate everything, and even have everything, while knowing that nothing is required for us to be whole.

This is one of the great paradoxes of awakening: to be fully present in this reality, we must also be free from our attachment to it. The more we remember our True Nature, the less we need to grasp. We are able to participate in life with greater love because fear and dependency are no longer directing us. We can allow life to move, change, arrive, and leave without losing ourselves within it.

The light supports this process. As it moves into the body, it reveals the places where we are still contracted and the connections we are still holding too tightly. We do not have to force them away. We simply allow the light to enter. We soften. We open. We let the energy show us what is ready to be released.

Take a moment today to feel your body from within. Find one place that is contracted and offer it your attention. Let it open, even a little. Allow the light to fill that space. Then notice what happens when you stop holding on—not by pushing anything away, but by remembering that nothing outside of you is needed for you to be complete.

The more open we become, the more light we can carry. And the more light we embody, the more naturally we return to the silence, stillness, clarity, peace, and beingness that have always been here.

Love, Eva ❤️
